In her first Tour appearance since Dubai, where a guy displayed “fixated behaviour” towards her and was ejected from the spectators during her match, Emma Raducanu, a former US Open champion, will play at Indian Wells next week, according to British media.
Raducanu will have additional security at Indian Wells, which is open from March 5–16, according to reports from the BBC and Sky Sports.
During her match against Karolina Muchova in the second round of the Dubai Championships last week, Briton Raducanu appeared upset and stood behind the umpire’s chair as security guards escorted the man out.
When the match finally resumed, she rallied from a 4-0 down to force a tiebreak, but ultimately lost 7-6(6) 6-4.
