For the twenty-first day in a row, train services from Quetta to other regions of the nation are still suspended.
As work on a crucial bridge progresses, trains from Quetta to big cities like Peshawar and Karachi have also been suspended.
Forty percent of the reconstruction work on the bridge, which was destroyed in an August terrorist attack, has been finished, according to the Railway administration. By October 15, the bridge should be completely functioning. According to officials, the chief executive officer of Pakistan Railways has instructed that the repair work be done in two shifts.
Pakistan Railways is funding the rehabilitation process with its own money in spite of its restricted resources. Officials stressed that Balochistan will have rail connectivity if the bridge receives security clearance.
