A 10% fare decrease has been announced by Pakistan Railways for all of its train classes.
The discount is valid for economy class passenger trains as well as the AC classes of express and postal trains.
Pakistan Railways has released an official statement stating that the new fare structure would take effect on September 23. This action is a component of the government’s endeavors to lower the cost of train travel and increase public accessibility.
A letter recently said that 1,967 roles in the commercial section of the railways department were officially eliminated as part of the Railway Rationalization Plan. After the existing occupants retired, these positions—which are dispersed among key divisions such as Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, and Karachi—were deemed closed.
