KARACHI: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) projection on Saturday, the likelihood of significant rain in the port city and other lower Sindh districts is almost gone because the majority of the monsoon system has shifted towards central, upper Sindh, and Balochistan.
Rather, the PMD stated that mild to moderate rain may now fall in Karachi.
Furthermore, the Met Office reported that light rain has begun in the northern portion of Karachi and that rain is expected to fall in other sections of the city in the next hour.
On the other hand, heavy rain is predicted to affect a number of other Sindhi cities, such as Jacobabad, Larkana, Dadu, Shikarpur, Ghotki, and Sukkur.
The meteorological bureau noted in their forecast that the system might still have an impact on Sindh on the morning of August 19.The PMD had earlier stated that thundershowers were predicted for Karachi during the next 24 hours.
Several regions of the nation, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan, saw rain one day earlier.
