With the arrival of the rainy season, dengue mosquito breeding has quickly increased in Lahore. In the last 24 hours, dengue larvae have been found in over a thousand different locations.
In an effort to stop the disease from spreading, dengue surveillance teams have been diligent in eliminating any larvae they discover right away. Larvae were retrieved from 1,132 distinct locations throughout the city, according to recent reports.
The monitoring teams have sent out 1,074 notifications for violations of dengue standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the previous 24 hours in an attempt to stop the spread of the disease. 58 cases have also been reported for grave infractions of these SOPs.
Raafia Haider, the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, emphasized the tremendous work being done by the dengue monitoring teams.
