As Storm Darragh moves closer to the UK, the Met Office has issued a rare red weather warning for wind.
The most severe kind of weather warnings are red ones. They are only issued by the Met Office when forecasters predict that hazardous, potentially fatal weather is coming.
It is in effect on Saturday from 03:00 to 11:00 GMT and covers the Bristol Channel, which includes portions of Bristol and Cardiff, as well as the western and southern coastal districts of Wales.
The most recent red alert for winds in northeast Scotland was issued in January.
According to the Met Office, the regions under the red alert are predicted to see wind gusts of 90 mph (144 kmph) or higher, which might result in flying debris and falling trees, endangering human life.
Northern Ireland is under an amber alert.
