Mian Raza Rabbani, a former chairman of the Senate, has advocated for a broad intra-institutional discussion in which the institutions should resolve not to encroach on one another’s territory.
“The way forward is a grand intra-institutional dialogue, wherein each institution agrees not to transgress into each other’s domain, respecting the trichotomy of power envisaged in the Constitution,” Rabbani said, emphasizing that the public display of contradictions among institutions was casting long shadows on an already precarious political system.
The leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) claimed in a press release that the country was facing several crises, one of which was discord within the governing class. He argued that the struggle of the ruling class had historical roots and came from inside.
