Ariana Grande recently acknowledged that she “can’t stop crying” following her first Oscar nomination for her performance in the 2024 movie Wicked.
In the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role, the 7 Rings singer, who played Glinda the Good Witch, is a nominee for an Academy Award.
Grande responded to the Oscar nomination with a long message on her official Instagram, writing, “picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition.” To no one’s surprise, I can’t stop crying.
“Being in such great company and sharing this with tiny Ari, who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, just makes me feel humbled and incredibly honored.”
