According to the Guardian, US senator Raphael Warnock, a Democrat, called Republican presidential contender Donald Trump’s intention to sell Bibles with his name “risky business.”
Warnock declared on Sunday’s CNN State of the Union, “The Bible does not need Donald Trump’s endorsement.” The Democrat serves as the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, a prominent church in Atlanta.
It’s a hazardous wager since the people who purchase those Bibles might actually read the passages that warn against wolves in sheep’s clothing and say things like “thou shalt not lie” and “thou shalt not bear false witness.”
“I believe you should exercise caution. This is a dangerous venture for a person such as Donald Trump.
Recently, Trump, who is challenging President Joe Biden in his reelection, invited supporters to purchase $59.99 Trump-endorsed Bibles.
As Trump still had his presidential campaign to run and significant legal fees to pay, Warnock said he wasn’t impressed by his attempt to sell bibles.
