The Red Zone in Islamabad has once again been closed off to stop political parties from protesting, greatly disrupting the lives of the populace.
Roads that go into the Red Zone have been blocked up with containers; only Margalla Road is still accessible. Similarly, containers have been positioned near Chungi Number 26, IJP Road, Faizabad in Rawalpindi, allowing for possible road closures, in preparation of a PTI protest call on Friday.
There was heavy traffic in the morning as residents tried to get to their places of business and education within the Red Zone.
Many voiced their dissatisfaction and urged political parties to stop the frequent interruptions that negatively impacted daily life and instead address their differences via conversation.
There is currently a restriction on all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the Red Zone, which causes significant inconvenience.
