The Super Bowl champions signed Wales rugby star Rees-Zammit in March after he finished the international player pathway (IPP).
The 23-year-old, who previously attended a camp with Mahomes in Texas, has been learning the position of running back at the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp for the past week.
“It was amazing, all the quarterbacks and receivers were there, we were running routes, we were working in the gym,” Rees-Zammit recalled.
“I learned a lot from Pat and the other boys, and it was a great two weeks,” the child said.
Rees-Zammit likened three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes to an extra.
