According to Vanessa Williams, her mother, Helen Williams, passed away in London on December 28 at the age of 85.
While in the city to celebrate her 85th birthday and see Vanessa appear in the musical adaption of The Devil Wears Prada, Helen died at The London Clinic from complications resulting from severe liver failure.
Vanessa paid a moving homage to her mother on Instagram, calling her a “powerhouse, dynamo, and force of nature packed into a 5ft frame.”
Regarding this, she said, “Our mom, Helen Williams, aka Gaga to many, took her final bow in London 20 days after celebrating her 85th birthday surrounded by family and friends.”
