Shoaib Malik, a former all-rounder for Pakistan, disclosed on Thursday that he turned down the chance to serve as a selector before the T20 World Cup, which was held in June in the United States and the Caribbean together.
Malik stated on Thursday at the Lahore press conference that the fitness of the bench players needs to be improved.
“My purpose for accepting the role of becoming the mentor in the Champions Cup was to make the fringe players learn some things,” he stated.
“Whatever Pakistan has given to me through this role, I will try to pay back,” he stated.
Malik stated, “In this event, players from U-19 will also feature along with players of other age groups like 25-26.” in reference to the upcoming Champions Cup.
