Karachi: According to a spokesman for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC), the 84-inch-diameter water supply pipeline on University Road will be repaired by Saturday or Sunday evening.
According to the spokeswoman, repairs for the pipeline started on December 3 after it burst for the first time last Friday. He noted that the line burst Thursday night from another location where repairs were still being made.
With heavy equipment and workers on the site, the official claimed the job was moving quickly. However, because of the considerable damage in two spots, he said, it might take some time to finish the task.
“The emergency repair work is being carried out under the close supervision of KWSC CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed.
