In the twelve-day period between March 12 and March 24, 7,186 Afghans—2,874 men, 1,543 women, and 2,769 children—have made the decision to go back home.
With determination, the illegal Afghans in Pakistan are being repatriated. More than 520,692 people have gone home as of March 24, 2024, and the process is still ongoing.
Interestingly, these figures show that Afghan families made this decision collectively, reflecting a broad population taking part in the repatriation efforts.
In addition, throughout the repatriation process, 298 families—which total 284 vehicles—have returned to Afghanistan.
This concerted effort demonstrates Pakistan’s and Afghanistan’s shared commitment to responsible migration management and the safe repatriation of Afghan nationals to their homeland.
