Prior to this embed, there was little communication with the Israeli Defense Forces contacts. The IDF had something they wanted to show the outside world, and after four months of this conflict, they had the drill down to a method.
All of us piled into Humvees. With one hand on the roll bar and the other on an automatic weapon fixed to the bonnet, a soldier was positioned in the front seat. There was an Israeli shoulder-mounted rocket and an extra rifle at my left elbow.
