Some of his fellow Democrats have criticized President Biden for his decision to pardon his son Hunter.
As of late Monday morning, a steady stream of Democrats had also voiced their disapproval of the action, which had sparked a tidal wave of GOP opposition on Sunday night.
“As a dad, I understand. However, it is a setback for someone like me who wants people to believe in public service once more,” Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Ohio, wrote on X.
The Colorado senator added, “President Biden’s decision put personal interest ahead of duty and further erodes Americans’ faith that the justice system is fair and equal for all.”
