LAHORE: Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Rana Muhammad Fayyaz, has presented a motion to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat calling for the ban of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The resolution demands that individuals involved for the events of November 24 be held accountable and calls for strict action against PTI, calling it a “disruptive group” that poses as a political party.
The resolution accuses PTI of advancing an anarchist agenda and draws attention to its purported role in threatening national stability.
Following recent violent protests in Islamabad and other parts of the nation, there have been increasing requests from various sources to restrict PTI’s operations.
