After being shot during a scuffle with the suspected robber in San Francisco, 23-year-old Ricky Pearsall is in stable condition.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ president, Aaron Peskin, stated he was informed that Pearsall retaliated and was shot in the chest.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, 49ers wide receiver Pearsall is “expected to survive” and that the suspect is the other shooting victim.
A video taken at Union Square showed Pearsall, without a shirt, carefully making his way to an ambulance with the assistance of the police.
He was sitting on a bed with wheels, and as he moved his left hand, blood was seen where it was pressing his shirt on his right side of the chest, close to his shoulder.
The Chronicle further reported that on Saturday at 3:28 p.m. (11.28 p.m. UK time), police received a call, and they stated that the suspect was in custody and that both had been sent to the hospital.
Pearsall was shot in the chest, according to the 49ers, who described his condition as serious but stable.
