The leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, has blamed the Imran Khan-led government for the country’s rising cost of living, criticizing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration for its actions.
The three-time prime minister stated that the PTI administration started the price hike issue and added that he is aware of the suffering that the people of Pakistan are going through at a news conference on Friday in Lahore, which was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The head of the PML-N said he remembers a period in 2017 when there was no problem with price increases and people were living easy lives. He also mentioned that since he became prime minister in 2013, his government has strived to improve the economy.
