Rita Fleming was discovered unconscious at a Kensington residence on Golborne Road on Sunday, June 23, at approximately 9.45 a.m. An inquiry was then started.
At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police stormed into the property after someone voiced worries about her welfare.
Rita’s death is being considered unexpected and unexplained at this time, according to a statement from the force, and detectives are still looking into the circumstances. A postmortem investigation has been conducted.
Officers with specialized training have been notified and are providing support to Ms. Fleming’s next of kin.
Alison Foxwell is the Detective Chief Inspector of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
This involves attempting to compile as complete a picture of her movements in the days before her discovery as feasible.
I would want anyone who saw Rita between June 20 and June 23 or who heard from her to get in touch with the police right now if they have any information that they believe could be useful to this inquiry.
