KHUZDAR: According to a statement released by the Levies on Sunday, a roadside explosion in the Khori neighborhood of Khuzdar, Balochistan, has left at least one person dead and seven others injured.
The event happened on the M-8 Motorway when a passenger bus traveling from Khuzdar to Rawalpindi passed a wayside car loaded with explosives. The bus could accommodate 40 passengers, but there were only 13 individuals on board.
While the injured have been transported to Trauma Centre Khuzdar, the body of the deceased has been moved to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
The tragic event occurs at a time when the province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been hit hard by terrorist assaults, which have increased dramatically in recent months.
