Producer Joe Lyons, Kemp’s closest buddy, passed away in August 2020; the celebrity found out while at work.
The next year, he produced a documentary on young men’s mental health and suicide.
The 31-year-old, who hosted his farewell show last week, revealed in February that he was leaving his position as host of the breakfast show, ten years after he first presented a show for Capital.
“Imagine a tragedy occurring in your home; it’s not normal. You would want to move,” Kemp stated in a recent interview with the newspaper.
The managers at Capital are aware of this, as I have stated. It’s challenging because, four years after that terrible incident, I’ve been reliving the same day without the terrible incident.
