Britain’s royal family has issued its first big announcement since Princess of Wales Kate Middleton was seen in public following stomach surgery.
Rebecca English, a royal expert, took to X, the defunct Twitter name, to publish the royal family’s statement.
According to the palace’s tweet, “NEW: The Queen accompanied by the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent will attend the annual Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration @wabbey on Monday.”
The Commonwealth is a multinational network comprising 56 nations. Commonwealth Day is an annual event celebrated across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific, and Europe. The topic for this year is ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming Our Commonwealth.
