As relations between Russia and Pakistan continue to improve, Russian Federation Deputy Minister of Defense Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin visited Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
The discussion covered topics of mutual interest and the regional security situation, including strengthening bilateral defense and security cooperation, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The COAS reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to fortifying long-standing defense relations with Russia, and both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation across a range of security and defense-related areas.
As for the Pakistan Army, Colonel General Fomin praised its accomplishments in the fight against terrorism and emphasized the significance of a coordinated.
