Tuesday was testimony day for firearms expert Lucien Haag in the trial of Hannah Gutierrez, the movie’s armorer, who is accused with involuntary manslaughter and tampering with proof.
The Hollywood celebrity, who is also the movie’s producer, entered a not guilty plea to the allegation of involuntary manslaughter and will go on trial in July. He has not shown up in court for Gutierrez’s hearing, despite his prior claims that he did not pull the trigger on the gun. The handgun that Baldwin used on set was completely operational and equipped with safety features when it was brought into an FBI laboratory for testing, an FBI expert testified before the Santa Fe court on Monday. The expert claimed that in order for the fully cocked gun to fire without pulling the trigger, he had to smash it with a hammer.
