Mendes, who has been in a relationship with Ryan Gosling for a long time, has been raising her two kids, Esmerelda, 10, and Amada, 8, by choosing to limit her big-screen appearances in order to focus on motherhood.
Thus, while Gosling has kept producing hit after hit movie (“The Big Short,” “La La Land,” “Barbie”), Mendes has focused her artistic energies on other projects, such as makeup, fashion, and, most recently, a children’s book.
In an interview to promote her book “Desi, Mami, and The Never-Ending Worries,” Mendes discussed whether she would ever go back to the show when she appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday.
I’m not sure. If there are any intriguing roles,You know, I felt like I kind of did it. “I recently worked with Ryan Gosling,” I exclaimed. She made reference to her 2012 film, The Place Beyond the Pines, when she said, “He’s like, the best.”
Working with him and the work we produced together was such a high point in my career that I thought it would be best to just “Seinfeld” it and go. Who knows, then?
