Authorities reported on Wednesday that a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight had successfully landed in Lahore in spite of losing one of its tires. Numerous investigations have been sparked by the incident involving flight PK-308 from Karachi to Lahore.
At after 10 p.m., authorities found that the Airbus A320 had finished its flight and touched down, but one of its back tires was gone. Only after the plane had landed and taxied to its assigned spot at Lahore airport was the absence observed.
Authorities at Karachi airport were notified by the Lahore Air Traffic Control Office (ATCO) of the discovery, and they later found a section of the tire’s shaft on the runway. However, the lost tire itself has not been found after more than 14 hours of combing both airports.
