Following the party’s order, Salman Akram Raja has rescinded his resignation as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) secretary-general.
PTI Information-Secretary Waqas Akram responded to The News by saying, “Yes, he [Raja] has withdrawn his resignation, as the party did not accept it and asked him to continue.”
Raja had recently visited and attended a meeting of the party’s political committee, Waqas added.
At first, Raja had resigned after being criticized by certain party members for not making the trip from Lahore to Islamabad to participate in a protest with a group of protesters.
Prior to it, a day after the historic retreat of the November 27th group, he had sent out a video message addressing the criticisms made against him.
