CHRISTCHURCH: Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha has acknowledged to the team that they have not been at their best and have fallen short of expectations following their devastating defeat to New Zealand in the opening Twenty20 International.
It was challenging; we fell short, but we must regroup (before Dunedin). There was some seam movement and they bowled pretty well in excellent spots. In a press conference held after the game, he described the loss as difficult to accept and stated, “We will sit down, have a chat, and think about the next game.”
His comments followed the Green Shirts’ nine-wicket defeat at the hands of the Black Caps in the first series, which saw the hosts easily reach a 92-run goal.
