Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan, who were close friends, met up at the BFI Southbank in London and talked about their new jobs and goals for the future.
Chalamet talked about his role as Bob Dylan in the upcoming musical biopic A Complete Unknown, directed by James Mangold. According to the Dune actor, there was a “whole war on the movie” over whether he should perform the songs live or with prerecorded versions.
Since it’s folk music and Bob Dylan’s voice definitely matched his, I was among many who wanted to perform it live. Therefore, I didn’t want to be like me, imitating Bob Dylan in an L.A. studio six months before to our shoot,” Chalamet stated.
