A royal decree has been issued by Saudi Arabia to bestow Saudi citizenship upon a multitude of scientists, physicians, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and outstanding individuals with distinct areas of competence and specialization.
The declaration, which was made on Thursday, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), emphasizes Saudi Arabia’s ongoing quest for international talent with distinctive competencies.
The Kingdom is looking for individuals with special skills and knowledge in areas that they can use to help different parts of the Kingdom grow in order to meet its Vision 2030 objective.
The Vision 2030 program is a manifestation of Saudi Arabia’s strong desire to draw in, support, and retain outstanding creative talent.
It also emphasizes the Kingdom’s goals of developing an atmosphere that encourages creativity and advancement.
The news comes after a comparable royal decree that was initially published in 2021 and granted Saudi citizenship to the first class of very talented individuals in certain disciplines.
What is the Vision 2030 of Saudi Arabia?
As per an earlier article by Al Arabiya News this year, Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 was initiated in 2016 at the behest of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
From the Kingdom’s deeply ingrained cultural legacy and geopolitical advantages, the ambitious plan seeks to establish a “diversified, innovative, and world-leading nation,” according to the initiative’s official webpage.
