Riyadh: Adding an additional $600 million to its recently announced $2.2 billion investment in Pakistan on Wednesday was a good step, according to Saudi Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Falih, who described it as “just the beginning of something very special.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Saudi minister met during the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh.
A joint press stakeout described the meeting as “very productive,” encompassing bilateral cooperation in a number of areas, including commerce, finance, agriculture, technology, and skilled labor.
During his two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, the prime minister spoke at the FII moot on behalf of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
