KARACHI: The authorities have been ordered by the Supreme Court (SC) to take down the barricades outside of many buildings, such as the Governor House, Chief Minister House, and Sindh Rangers headquarters, and to submit the report in three days.
“No one has the right to impede another person’s ability to travel freely […] It is against the law to block highways and erect barriers, Pakistan’s Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa declared on Thursday.
CJP Isa made these comments while presiding over a three-judge panel that also included Justices Jamal Khan Mandokhail and Naeem Akhtar Afghan. The panel was considering several matters at the SC Karachi Registry, including ones involving encroachment and the Nasla Tower.
