Tomorrow, August 30, all public and private schools in the area will stay closed, according to a Thursday announcement from the Karachi Commissioner.
The decision was taken as a preventive step in reaction to the most recent weather forecast, which calls for severe weather conditions in the upcoming days, the Commissioner emphasized in an official statement.
“In light of the advisory from the Meteorological Department and the PDMA, we have decided to close all public and private schools across the city to ensure the safety of students and staff,” said the commissioner.
The Meteorological Department’s statement has highlighted the possibility of intense rain and wind, which could result in urban floods and other dangerous circumstances.
