Floods in Upper Chitral have forced the closure of educational institutions, damaging multiple bridges and cutting off communication lines.
Regarding this decision, a notification has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Upper Chitral.
The notification states that from August 1 to August 3, 2024, all educational institutions will observe a holiday, which has been declared by the province administration. All local public and private educational institutions are affected by this closure.
According to the notification, the floods in Upper Chitral have shuttered schools because they have caused a great deal of damage and disturbance.
