The twin towns of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are expected to have numerous road jams as the high-profile Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit gets underway in Islamabad with numerous heads of state and dozens of foreign delegations in attendance.
Plans for road closures and detours during the summit have been made public by the traffic police in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
From October 14 to October 16, there will be road restrictions.

Utilize the Chak Beli Road, Rawat, Taxila, Motorway, and GT Road from Peshawar to Rawat.
To get from Lahore (GT Road) to Peshawar, take the Rawat, Chak Beli Road, Chak Beli Interchange, Motorway, and Taxila routes.
Take 9th Avenue from Margalla Road to Rawalpindi.
Traffic will be rerouted to 9th Avenue from Faisal Avenue to Zero Point.
Use Lehtrar Road and Korang Road to go from Bhara Kahu to Rawalpindi.
