The goal of lowering greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2030 is unachievable, according to a report from the Climate Change Committee (CCC), which the Scottish government will address at Holyrood on Thursday.

The decision was dubbed “the worst environmental decision in the history of the Scottish parliament” by the campaign group Friends of the Earth Scotland.
