On a Sydney dock, Ben McDonald, 51, accused 71-year-old Scott Swift of hitting his face. He didn’t require medical attention.
Following their disembarkation from a yacht, Mr. Swift and the music superstar got into a dispute on Tuesday.
The singer’s representative indicated that two persons had acted aggressively toward them, but they did not address the assault allegation, according to local media.
The singer, hidden behind an umbrella, is seen in a footage released by Australian media strolling along Neutral Bay Wharf with her father and security officers at around 2:30 local time (15:30 GMT Monday).
Before two voices, purportedly belonging to a photographer and a guard, accuse one another of touching umbrellas, cameras flare. It’s unclear if the claimed incident is captured on the image.
Mr. McDonald told the news that when Mr. Swift “charged in” and attacked him, the singer had already gotten into a car.
He claimed not to have initiated the incident, saying, “I’ve been doing this for 23 years and I haven’t been in a situation where someone has hit me in the chops.”
The spokesman for the artist stated: “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”
