KARACHI: The city’s temperatures are expected to drop due to a sea wind, providing much-needed relief from the intense heat that Karachiites have been experiencing for days.
The port city, which has been experiencing intense heatwaves lately, is predicted to see a decrease in temperature starting today (Sunday).
For the next 24 hours, Karachi is expected to have hot and muggy weather, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
It is anticipated that the city’s highest temperature would stay in the range of 35 to 37°C. Right now, there is a 75% humidity level with winds blowing from the west at a speed of 16 kilometers per hour.
In the past 24 hours, the city’s lowest recorded temperature was 29°C.
overcast skies and a sea breeze forecasted
Additionally, the provincial capital is expected to see partly overcast skies and a sea breeze from Monday (tomorrow) through Saturday, according to a private weather station.
It is predicted that the temperature will stay between 33 and 35°C with winds of 30 to 40 km/h.
It did, however, add that the “feels like” temperature could very well be higher than the actual temperature because of the high humidity levels.
