The Niners recorded their highest-scoring performance of the season after dropping three of their opening five games.
With three touchdown passes and 255 yards passing, quarterback Brock Purdy found two of those to George Kittle.
After blowing double-digit leads to the LA Rams and Arizona Cardinals earlier in the season, the game was far from over even though the first gave the Niners a 23-3 lead in the third quarter.
With a touchdown return of the kickoff by Laviska Shenault, the Seahawks immediately put further pressure on the Niners.
And when Kenneth Walker scored at the conclusion of the game, the Niners feared another surrender.
Kittle’s second touchdown gave the 49ers some breathing room, but a Geno Smith pass to wide receiver Tyler Lockett brought the Seahawks within five points.
But Kyle Juszczyk gave the 49ers a much-needed victory by scoring the game’s final touchdown from six yards out, thereby making the game safe for his team.
