Following a meeting about board examinations, the Sindh Education Minister and the Minister of Universities and Boards resolved to erect Section 133 around the testing locations for the matric and intermediate board exams.
It has been agreed that students’ phones would be seized if they bring them inside the exam rooms.
The plans for the intermediate board exam and matriculation were reviewed in the meeting. During the meeting, it was announced that all the arrangements for the matric tests, scheduled for the first week of May, and the intermediate exams, scheduled for the end of May, had been finalized.
As per the agreement, 350,198 candidates would take the exam at 250 matric examination centers, while 290,220 candidates will show up in Karachi for the intermediate exam.
According to Muhammad Ali Malkani, the Sindh Interior Ministry will provide support for security arrangements.
Minister of Universities and Boards Sindh said, “A recommendation regarding the implementation of Section 144 around the examination centers will be made.”
