The Government of Pakistan and its military leadership have demonstrated a strong commitment to fighting the drug problem that has beset the nation through the recent anti-drug operations.
The magnitude and intensity of these operations are demonstrated by the significant seizures, which include over 1,047 metric tons of various substances and the arrest of 1,725 drug dealers.
9.84.73 metric tons of various drugs, 8.95 metric tons of opium, and 3.71 metric tons of meth were confiscated by security personnel.
The fact that significant amounts of heroin, hashish, methamphetamine, opium, and other substances have been recovered is indicative of how pervasive drug trafficking is in Pakistan.
