The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced in a statement on Sunday that security forces had killed at least seven terrorists in two different encounters in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the military’s media wing, security personnel in the general Daraban area carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in response to reports of insurgent activity.
“Own troops successfully engaged the khwarijs’ [terrorists’] location during the conduct of the operation, and as a result, four khwarij were sent to hell,” it continued.
According to ISPR, troops successfully eliminated three terrorists in a different encounter that occurred in the general region of Maddi.
The terrorists, who continued to be actively involved in a number of terrorist acts in the region, were also found to have weapons and ammunition.
