Selena Gomez recently discussed her plans to retire from the music industry and disclosed her objectives.
Previously, her words about retiring after her next album sparked outrage among fans, but the singer has since revealed her genuine intentions.
During an interview with Rolling Stones, Gomez said that she is ready to embrace this new chapter in her life and take a vacation from music. She said, “I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy.”
She admitted her interest in television and movies, saying, “I love film.” I adore TV.I simply feel like I haven’t done many of the things that I want to do in that area.
Selena also addressed suspicions about her retirement, saying, “It’s not that I’m saying ‘no, never’ to music; it’s more that I’d like to explore that world a little more and have the time to do so,” admitting that she plans to segue from singing to acting.
It is worth noting that the Love On singer made her start in the entertainment industry in 2002 as a child actress on Barney and Friends.
