ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Division said that information pertaining to Pakistan’s cricket teams is inherently sensitive and confidential, hence it declined to reveal with the National Assembly the salary packages of all those involved.
The Cabinet Division responded during question hour by asking that the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) physical records be inspected or examined in camera in order to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
In response to a query from Asiya Naz Tanoli, the Cabinet Division said: “We hereby make a humble submission to the MNA requesting that the process of seeking information be prevented from causing needless public controversy and negative exploitation of sensitive and confidential information pertaining to the PCB in the media.”
