QUETTA: The Barkhan Assistant Commissioner (AC) confirmed Wednesday morning that at least seven passengers were slain late Tuesday night in Balochistan’s Barkhan district when unidentified armed attackers opened fire.
According to AC Khadim Hussain, the attack happened on the National Highway near Rarkan when unknown armed persons stopped a passenger bus and started shooting into the air.
After examining the passengers’ identity cards, the gunmen got on the bus and dragged seven of them violently to a neighboring mountain. Gunshots were heard shortly after.
The bodies of the kidnapped passengers were found when local police enforcement, including the Levies force, arrived on the scene.
