According to ABC News, authorities announced on Monday that the suspect in the shootings in two separate Joliet, Illinois residences that claimed seven lives has been found dead.
After finding the deaths of five victims in one house and two more in an adjacent house on West Acres Road, the police had stated they were searching for a suspect, Romeo Nance, 23.
Police stated that Nance “should be considered armed and dangerous” and that she was “driving a Red Toyota Camry with the license plate Q730412.”
Nance was found by US Marshals close to Natalia, Texas, late on Monday night, according to the authorities. It was later reported that Nance “took his own life with a handgun following a confrontation with Texas law enforcement officials.”
Multiple victims with gunshot wounds were discovered dead at homes along West Acres Road, according to the local authorities, who dispatched help.
Authorities posted on Facebook late on Monday afternoon, stating, “As this investigation moves forward, the information remains fluid and ever-changing.”
