In a mocking statement on Saturday, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asked the “free” leadership of the party to think about paying him a visit at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore “if they can find the time,” according to The News.
Mahmood reiterated his allegiance to PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, who is still detained in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, while addressing the media on Saturday at the anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi. However, he emphasized the necessity for the party’s leadership to consult with Khan on political issues.
“I’m standing in the same spot as before. I was in the cipher case in Adiala earlier. In that instance, Allah made me successful. I am currently being held on false charges at Kot Lakhpat Jail,” he clarified.
