By collaborating to create a program about an outsider joining the Bollywood world, Netflix and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment are preparing to upend the business.
Although the series does not yet have a title, King Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, will be directing it for the first time. According to Variety, the show will debut in 2025.
According to the streamer’s statement, “This multi-genre project, set against the backdrop of the film industry, promises an audacious, unabashed, entertaining ride through the adventures of a charming, ambitious outsider navigating the glitzy yet tricky world of Bollywood.”
“The series features blockbuster cameos and larger-than-life characters, blending a high-stakes narrative with self-aware humor for an unforgettable, tongue-in-cheek take on Indian cinema.”
